with the 248 V8 engine matched to an automatic transmission and
restored in striking all 'Black' paint, vinyl roof and trim and
with working period correct air conditioning, bucket seats, factory
wire wheel hubcaps and narrow whitewall tires, a 'top-of-the-line'
Caprice signature script, an electric clock, AM/FM radio, power
steering and power brakes! This particular example boasts being a
'Vintage Chevrolet Club of America Senior Award Winner' and having
had single ownership since 1993! The car has been beautifully
restored as required over the years and has a beautiful Black paint
job and interior trim. The car has no signs of any rust or
accidents and still has its original spare wheel in the trunk. The
car drives magnificently and must be seen and driven to be fully
appreciated!The Chevrolet Caprice was introduced in 1965 as the top
of the line model in the Impala division and become a separate
division above the Impala in 1966. The Caprice Custom was
reintroduced as the Chevrolet Caprice in 1966, taking the top
position in the full-size Chevrolet lineup. The Caprice was the
most expensive and luxurious model of America's favorite
automobile. Engine choices included an inline 6 cylinder as well as
the famous Chevy small block and big block V8's. Automatic buyers
were given the option of the newly introduced three-range Turbo
Hydra-Matic transmission for the newly introduced Mark IV big-block
engine, displacing 396 cubic inches. This was the same L35 engine
