For sale in out Chicago showroom is this purpose-built 1971
Chevrolet Malibu. Sporting a massive 565 cubic inch Big Block Chevy
V8 built around a stout Dart "Big M" block, this Malibu is ready to
thrash. Needless to say, the rest of the driveline is built to
handle the punishment. A beefy TH-400 transmission with a manual
valvebody gives all the benefits of selecting your own gears,
without the headache of sourcing a strong enough clutch. The GM
12-bolt rear eng was fitted with Strange axles and is plenty
capable of handling the 925 horsepower dying to burn through the
tires. With a slick coat of Royal Blue paint and the obligatory
white stripe laid down about 5 years ago, it still shines great and
gets plenty of looks. The interior, while fairly stripped, still
has all of the necessities to take you mile at a time. An
overhead switch panel controls all the engine controls, i.e.
cooling fans, ignition, and starter, and an assortment of gauges
make sure if something with the engine gets a bit funky, you'll
know about it. Step this monster up to the line, arm the
trans-brake, wind up the engine, and blast this rocket down the
drag strip at consistent low-10 second passes. Options include:
Seat Belts, Racing Wheels, Racing Tires, and a Vinyl Interior. For
more HD photos and an HD video of the vehicle running and driving,
