GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1977 Chevrolet Corvette
for purchase. C3 generation of Corvettes were the stingrays
patterned after the Mako Shark II designed by Larry Shinoda and
executed under Bill Mitchell's direction. After 1974 government
restrictions, the gigantic muscle cars were being scaled back to
just cruisers more than road carvers. The C3 Corvette though lived
on being advertised as "a more efficient Corvette" while still
maintaining the bite that wasn't currently being produced
elsewhere. The 1977 models featured steel floor panels which
reduced interior noise and weighed less than the previous
fiberglass floors. Power levels and speed were on the rise while
power everything (steering, brakes, etc) made these a pleasure to
drive and handle.
This '77 t-top stingray is in excellent condition for its next
owner. It's powered by the original 350ci V8 paired with the
original turbo-hydramatic 3-speed automatic transmission. The car
runs and handles like a dream. The 'vette has just recently had a
lot of service work and upgrades done to it. There are as follows:
new tires, new chrome rings and the wheels have just been
repainted, new upper and lower control arms with new bushings and
ball joints, new rear struts, new front springs(touring), new rear
springs(touring), new shocks, new front sway bar, new brake
calipers(o-ring style), new pads/rotors and front hubs with
bearings, new stainless steel brake lines, new rear trailing arms
with new bearings, rebuilt differential with 3.08 ratio, new
u-joints, new Steeriods rack and pinion steering, rebuilt TH 350
automatic transmission, new transmission cooling lines, new
radiator cooling hoses, new valve covers, new alternator, new
Vintage air conditioning, new upper dash pad, new lower dash pads,
new steering wheel, new center console side, new shift boot, new
seat back covers, new stereo with XM and Bluetooth with new front
speakers. There are receipts to document all of this work that was
just done.
Cosmetically, the Corvette shows very well. The car is also
equipped with power steering and power brakes and has a luggage
rack.
