For sale in our Dallas showroom is this awesome 1981 Jeep CJ8
Scrambler. This CJ8 comes furnished with a bad to the bone Deep
grey Kevlar camoliner. So, you can go through any type of terrain
and not worry about scratching the paint. This is the first year
for Jeep to make the CJ-8 and they only produced 8,355 of them. So,
it's quite difficult to find a CJ-8 as nice as this one. They
stopped production of the CJ-8 in 1986. The CJ-8 comes equipped
with a 4.0 L six-cylinder engine with a 5-speed manual transmission
that came out of a 2002 Jeep Wrangler. The original inline six
engine in the CJ-8 was only putting out 110HP and the new stump
pulling 4.0L out of the 2002 wrangler puts out 190HP. It also comes
with a carb conversion that gives it enough torque to climb up a
90-degree wall while in low gear. All wiring has been replaced and
every gauge and light works. This CJ-8 has a 3-inch lift kit that's
sitting on 36-inch Maxxis all terrain tires wrapped around 20''
Moto Metal rims. This very detailed restoration took a little over
a year and a half to complete and attention to detail and high-end
parts were the focus. Don't miss out on this well restored Beast.
