Evolve Motors & Chicago Car Club are pleased to present this 1973
Cadillac Sedan deVille! At just shy of 20ft in length and over
5100lbs in weight, this 73 Sedan deVille is one big, beautiful
piece of automotive history. This car is a very well-preserved
example of Cadillac's final pillar-less hardtop sedan, from a time
that luxury and comfort were paramount. This car is a real dream
boat, it floats down the road in a manner that can only be
described as effortless. The cabin is dead silent at speed and the
seats are so comfortable that a full day of highway cruising
doesn't sound even the least bit daunting. This 73 Sedan deVille
has covered just 32,709 miles over the course of its 44 year life.
Considering the time-capsule-like state of the unrestored interior
and the rust-free undercarriage, it's clear that this car has been
very well taken care of throughout those 44 years. This car is in
excellent mechanical order; the gentleman we purchased the car from
even drove it down to us in Chicago from North Dakota! Car will be
sold with all original manuals, booklets, and a handful of minor
service receipts. Exterior: First off, paint. Cotillion White is a
nice color on these cars, particularly against the black interior.
The paint, a respray of the original color, shows very well; there
are a just a handful of small chips scattered about the car, with
the most significant chipping being on the forward portion of the
rear skirts (see photo). There is also a scratch on the passenger
front fender, which has been touched up, as well as on the
passenger rear quarter, right behind the turn signal. There are
close-up photos of every blemish on the car, so please take a good
look through the photos. Chrome is excellent throughout, and really
completes the look of this big sedan. There is no oxidation or
damage on the chrome at all; it shines nice and bright with a
mirror-like finish everywhere - bumpers, door handles, A-pillars,
etc. Landau hardtop is in pristine condition, with absolutely no
scratches, scrapes, or damage. There is one small door-ding on the
car, which is on the driver's side rear door. There is some minor
bubbling beginning to form under the chrome trim at the forwardmost
point of the passenger rocker trim. Rust is not through. All doors
close without any fuss. Glass and light lenses are all clear and
crack-free throughout. Wheels are excellent, with no damage or curb
rash. Tires are new. Interior: The interior is undoubtedly the
highlight of this car; it is just fantastic. A true time capsule.
Black medallion cloth seats are perfect, a term we don't use often.
There is absolutely no fading or damage throughout the interior.
Seats are powered, as are windows. Carpets are stain and tear free
both front and rear and car will come with Cadillac branded
floormats. Headliner is nice and tight. Dash is excellent. All
powered systems are functional - dash lights, cruise control, heat,
seat adjustments, the Zuma Retrosound radio (original radio also
included in the sale), and all gauges. Air conditioning has been
converted to R134a and blows cold. Odometer is functional and reads
32,709 miles, which is accurate. The car even has a new-car-like
smell to it. Under the Hood / Underbody: This Sedan deVille retains
its original 472cid 4BBL V8 and 3-speed TH-400 automatic
transmission. The car runs and drives very, very well. It starts
right up without fault, idles cool and steady, and tracks nice and
straight down the road. Brakes feel very good, with no hooking in
either direction. The car has no tendencies or noises of concern;
it eats up speedbumps and potholes quietly and smoothly. With the
windows up this car is very qui
