It is VERY RARE as only a couple thousand Commando 750's were built in 1972 with new highly tuned "Combat" motors before Norton ended production of the Combat motor due to premature bearing failure. We have been asked to sell this Commando for the local Idaho owner who is a collector and as you can tell this is his pride and joy. It still retains it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - Norton head stock mounted data/VIN tag which is shown in a picture. At the heart of this Norton is the VERY STRONG !! - FACTORY ORIGINAL NUMBER'S MATCHING !! - PROFESSIONALLY REBUILT !! - 750 CC "Combat" Air Cooled Straight Twin motor that is running VERY well and also sports the ORIGINAL Cylinder Head with correct "C" casting code, ORIGINAL SS Camshafts, ORIGINAL Twin Amal Concentric carburetors and the ORIGINAL air cleaner housing. Sounds GREAT too with the THROATY RARE ORIGINAL "Campbells" dual chrome exhaust system. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - 4 Speed manual transmission which is also functioning very well. This Norton Commando comes nicely equipped including a VERY NICE NEW Black Vinyl padded seat, original fiberglass fuel tank, factory "Isolastic" suspension, an upgraded rear swingarm pivot, factory adjustable rear shocks, factory front telescoping forks, factory front headlamp, factory "Smiths" gauge cluster with factory tachometer and 150 MPH speedometer, factory "Norton-Lockheed" brakes with disc up front and the original handlebars and grips.
