Vehicle Description
This 1973 Plymouth 'Cuda was built to do only one thing - go fast!
Nowhere on this car does it try to hide its speedy intentions,
which means everyone will hide from you on the street and the
strip.
We could start off by going into how just owning a '73 'Cuda is a
badge of honor. After all, higher insurance premiums were already
killing off sales of the muscle cars and Mopars have traditionally
had lower production numbers. But that's not why you want this
coupe. Instead, this is a bold prostreet statement that starts the
moment you see the big shining air scoop come into view. Sure,
other cars use brightwork for accents, but this one just wants to
highlight its serious equipment. That's why the other shining
pieces you're going to notice are the pins holding down the trunk
and Weld racing wheels with a nice wide set in the rear. It's all
wrapped in a deep red, because let's face it, this coupe is out for
blood.
That cool hockey stick stripe on the exterior is a nice preview of
what you'll see inside. Step past the roll bar and discover a deep,
black interior that's ready to get down to business. A four-point
racing harness, custom fire extinguisher, and Hurst Quarter Stick
sifter are all instant indicators this is ready for serious
competition. So when you strap into the buck seat and grab the
iconic Mopar steering wheel, your heart will already be racing. It
only gets better as you watch the full gauge package do its dance,
including the large AutoMeter Sport-Comp II tach w/shift light.
We know you've been waiting about all those amazing details about
what's under the hood, and we can tell you it's even better than
you imagined. After all, this was built to not only be powerful,
but so you can proudly show it off, too. The engine bay is smooth,
clean, and painted the exterior-matching bold red. And with all the
polished components - valve covers, alternator, pulleys, etc. - the
presentation is award-worthy. But what you really want to know
about are all the powerful goodies. This 360 cubic-inch V8 has been
fully rebuilt in 2006 to eat the streets (we have one receipt for
$12K alone!) It has been enhanced and fortified with go-fast
goodies like dual Edelbrock 500 CFM carburetors, Weiand Tunnel Ram
intake, MSD ignition, Comp Cam with .510 lift, and completely
redone heads with push rods, lifters, and springs. This monster
motor exhales with authority from Hedman long tube headers that
feed a thunderous X-pipe dual exhaust. This V8 connects to a stout
Torqueflite A727 three-speed automatic transmission with a 3200
stall converter to keep you in the optimal powerband. It feeds a
limited-slip rear end with 4.11 gears for the best power take-offs.
With the fuel cell and battery in the trunk, you've got the right
weight over those massive Pro-Trac N50 tires. And while this looks
like a beastly package, the power steering and front disc brakes
means you can easily take control.
Complete with plenty of build receipts and a magazine clipping,
this 'Cuda is so mean, it's just barely enough on the right side of
the law enough to get a license plate hung on the back. Are you
ready to tame it? Call now!
