For Sale: 1953 Buick Skylark in Los Angeles, California

Vehicle Description

This meticulously restored 53 Skylark was the favorite car of the founder of the Buick Club of America, BCA #1, Greg Field. A $130,000 restoration at Precision Motor Cars was completed in 2010. It is an eye stopper and a multiple show winner.

The body work and amazing imperial blue paint is incomparable!  You won't find any better!  This car does have a few unique modifications. Instead of the 322 with Dynaflow transmission combination, this has a 401 nail head with a variable pitch Turbo 400 transmission, The rear end is different as well. It has a wider wheelbase. Visually, it changes the stance and profile of the car, as it  fills out the wheel wells and also totally changes the dynamic of the ride. (An original 322 with Dynaflow transmission on caster wheels is included.)

The interior has been done to original specs. It has the die knock as well as the 1/8 stitching on the door panels. Every dash instrument including the radio has been cleaned and re-calibrated. The hydro electric top and windows are all new and functioning perfectly. The steering wheel, door panels and dash are color matched to the paint on the car.

This 53 Skylark is unique, has a history, is one of a kind and won’t disappoint.
