pleased to present this 2001 Jaguar XK8 Convertible! This car sold
new at Orloff Imports in Chicago to a local woman who drove the car
daily until she fell into poor health last year. While we typically
deal with pre-1990 cars, we've really enjoyed having this car
around as an errand-runner. It's comfortable, quick, easy to drive,
and sharp-looking. We have given the car a general inspection and
changed the oil; as it sits, this car is ready to be enjoyed by its
next owner. Exterior: Silver paint has a nice metallic sparkle to
it. The car was involved in a minor fender-bender in 2012, as noted
on the CarFax, and the front left fender was resprayed following
that incident. Damage was repaired and there is no evidence of it
remaining. Paint shows very well throughout, with just some minor
chipping on the lower front bumper, a couple small, light scratches
on the lower driver rear quarter, and a paint flake in the middle
of the driver's side rocker. Body is in excellent shape, with no
dents or door dings whatsoever. There is a small bubble on the
crease below the passenger rear taillight. Black convertible top
and boot cover are both in as-new condition. Doors and body panels
open and close without a fuss. Wheels are in good shape, with just
some minor curb rash on the outer ring. Tires have 80% tread
remaining. Interior: Interior is in very nice condition. Driver's
seat does show some cracking on the forward outside corner,
passenger seat and backseat are mint. Dash shows as-new, with no
scratches or damage. Wood paneling looks great. Black carpeting is
perfect throughout, with no stains or frayed spots. Black floor
mats will come with the car as well. Odometer reads 126,058 and is
functional and accurate. All powered systems are functional -
convertible top, radio, air conditioning, wipers, lights and
signals, seat heaters, and all gauges. Mechanical: This car feels
excellent on the road; there are no tendencies or noises of
concern. The 4.0L V8 (290hp, 290lb-ft) provides smooth and
significant power. Suspension is nice and supple, with no clanking
or creaking over bumps. Shifts from the 5spd automatic gearbox are
smooth and the brakes do a great job of reeling the car in from
speed. The car tracks straight under both acceleration and braking.
Underneath the car looks decent; it is structurally sound but there
is some surface rust scattered about. Please take a good look
through the photos, as the car is documented in detail. Car will be
