For Sale: 1964 Buick Special in Kentwood, Michigan

Vehicle Description

We are really excited to offer this 1964 Buick Custom Special Wagon for consideration. The word "rare" gets thrown around a lot in the collectible automobile markets, but is never more appropriate than this first generation Custom Special Wagon. It is extremely rare to see one of these listed for sale, and even rarer to find one in such excellent condition.

This Special Wagon is in excellent condition. It originally came from California and is a very solid example. It is powered by a 5.7 L crate 350 v8 with ported aluminum heads and GM " Hot Cam", built by Jon Moss Chevy Raceshop installed by Wheel to Wheel in Detroit, MI. The car was rewired by the same shop and was given a new wiring harness and fuse panel. It features stainless a stainless steel intake and sodium filled exhaust valves, Polished intake/valve covers/alternator. The Buick has a new power steering pump and alternator. The car was placed on the DYNO and pulled an impressive 477 hp! The Special wagon has factory cold A/C R134. The exhaust system includes Hedman headers, Flowmaster Mufflers, 3 inch aluminized exhaust front to rear with 'X' crossover pipe. The car has a new electric brake vacuum pump, drilled and slotted rear rotors, vacuum assist motor for brakes, 4-wheel disc brakes with new ceramic pads front and back. The 200R4 automatic transmission with overdrive has been rebuilt and has a new TCL floor shifter with a stall converter. The power is transferred to the rear wheels through a 10-bolt Auburn Posi 3:73 rear end. The fuel is held in a Stainless Rick's tank and has an in-tank electric pump and external filter. The car rides on Hotch Kiss A-Arms front and rear control arms and has new coil over shocks in front and rear and has sway bars also.

The car was painted in "2008 Mini-Cooper Pepper White" by Santini of "Overhauling." The Buick was accented well with pinstripes done by Dennis Ricklefs of "Overhauling" as well. The rear bumper was custom made by a clay mold and hand laid fiberglass. The front bumper was smoothed and tucked. In 2015 the interior was completely redone.

This car was tastefully done and shows well. It comes with a stock hood, extra parts and stacks of receipts and another seat. This car is priced to sell and is sure to leave a smile on your face.
