I purchased this vehicle in 1988. It had 3472 miles on it. The previous owner installed a Target 350 small block, engine, and a transmission, a Turbo 350 automatic on the floor and the odometer was reset at 0000. It now has 5847 miles on it. It has never seen a rain drop, or a snowflake since I have owned it. It has been insured and inspected and on the road all these years. The body is in excellent shape with only a bit of glass in the rear wheel wells where they were cut for the large rear wheels. The car has American Racing wheels with locking lugs as you can see. It also has Stewart Warner guages, 411 posi rear end, and a Yamaha cassette am/fm stereo in it. The engine is equipped with a 4 barrel carb, and has headers. The exhaust pipes need replacing however. I have replaced the alternater, rear emergency break cables, idler arm, idler arm bushings, 2 new lower ball joints, and center link bushing. As you can see, the car is in pretty darn good shape. There are some issues as follows: the interior needs work-front bench seat needs replacing, rear seat is not bad-intact.The wind lace is missing in spots. The door panels are a bit rough and 2 doors can't be opened from the inside. The trunk lock is a bit touchy and the fuel sender is not working. The battery is mounted in the trunk. The carb leaks a little fuel. All said, this is a pretty nice classic car. I know it's a 4 door, but it is still pretty cool and it turns heads. It also hauls ass. Any 1957 Bel Air's are becoming increasingly hard to find. I have enjoyed owning this for the last 30 yrs, and I am very proud of it. I am recently retired and need to move on to other things. It is not perfect but it is not a "project" either. It is now time for someone else to own it and hopefully put in a bit of work to put this car over the top.
