Vehicle Description
1963 Austin Healey 3000 BJ7 Mark2Check out this 63 Healey BJ7 that
has been fully restored and sorted. It's hard to find aBig Healey
in this type of condition starting with the quality of the
beautiful silver-grey metallic paint that is nicely applied over an
all metal body. No corners were cut in the prep and body work on
this car and the final product shows that. This started out as a
good metal car that had a minor tweak to the frame so a new Jule
frame and floors were purchased from, and preassembled at Jule to
form a perfect basis for this great restoration. The car appeared
to have been red from the factory in the before restoration photos
we have. The underside of this car is finished just as the top with
wonderful workmanship. This may very well be the nicest, cleanest
underside I have ever seen on a Big Healey. All other items on the
exterior are good toexcellent including the chrome trim and the
wonderful black canvas top.The interior presents itself just a well
as the outside of the car. New carpeting, seatcovers, door panels
and all the miscellaneous other items in the interior have been
renewedand refreshed. The seats are done in a vinyl material as per
the factory originals. The top bows were restored and its all the
little things like that that are overlooked in most "ground up
restorations". This Mark 2 sports a wonderful quality wood steering
wheel. Having said all of that please understand this car is not
"perfect"- I haven't seen many "perfect" cars in my life but this
car would certainly be categorized as excellent by most car
buffs. The engine compartment is neat and tidy and sporting what we
were told was theoriginal engine that has been gone through. Also
present is the original Austin Healey vin plate. So many of these
vin plates are replaced but in this case the restorer was careful
to preserve the heritage of this car.
