Vehicle Description
The Cobra Torinos were serious muscle cars coming out of Ford's
Showrooms. The Cobra Torino was initially offered with a 428ci
Cobra Jet V8 with optional Ram Air package. A "Drag Pack"
drivetrain package was then offered consisting of a 428ci Super
Cobra Jet engine that came with either the Q-Code non-Ram Air or
the R-Code Ram Air hood - our car is an R-Code car with the
optional "Drag-Pack".
This car has undergone a frame on restoration in our restoration
shop. Finished in the factory correct deep Candy Apple Red over
Black interior, this is a very eye-catching package!
This car has an upgraded Hurst shifter which is an upgrade that
Road Test Magazine suggested after testing a Cobra Torino in the
quarter mile and feeling that the car didn't shift quite as easily
as it should.
According to our research, there were only 3786 Torino Hardtops
produced for the 1969 model year, and our car is one of 705
vehicles that was ordered with the Drag Pack 428 Super Cobra Jet
Engine.
The Marti Report shows the car has a little local history - it was
delivered to Jack Keller Ford in Grand Rapids, Michigan which is
about 45 minutes from our dealership.
