Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this awesome
1946 Mercury Coupe. The 46 Mercury was like many of the American
cars that year, a 42 Model that was brought back into production
late 45 for the 46-model year. The smooth lines were widely
accepted but it was still considered to be a "fancy" Ford. This
Streetrodded 46 Merc is a far-cry from what it originally was. The
first thing that catches your eye is the high-end glass like paint
job. The ghosted in flames are done with a surgeon's precision
giving this classic a one-off look. Under the hood the engine bay
has been taken to the next level with the firewall smoothed and
painted to match it is as clean as I have seen. The small block
Chevy sits nestled right between the rails. With all the
accessories chromed out this is a clean car from front to back. Hit
the button for the remote popper and have a seat in the high-end
leather bucket seats. The Mercury emblem has been done in red
snakeskin to bring the outside in giving it a unique look. The dash
was cleaned up and with the gauges move to a more central location
giving the car a modern feel. Hit the button for the power windows
and turn the AC on. There is nothing this street rod doesn't have.
Even the Minitab in the back was done so smooth and nice that it's
hard to believe it didn't come that way. If you have wanted
something different but not just so over the top that its gaudy
this 46 Merc is exactly that. Options on this custom 1946 Mercury
Coupe include, AC, AM/FM, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Tilt,
Leather Interior, Seat Belts, and Aluminum Wheels with Radial
Tires. This 1946 Mercury Coupe is for sale in our Louisville
