Will be updating with more info but here's a start. It's a copy/paste from a Craigslist add I have up in my area.
1965 Chevelle Wagon, 2 door. Originally a 6-cylinder car (model
number: 131155), it has a straight 6 in it now, although it is not
the original.
Been in the family for a long time but it's time to let her.
Obviously needs restoration. I'll just copy and paste this bit from
the last time I listed it.
There is no power steering from the factory. The sliding glass does
work, although it needs a little help sliding. It could definitely
be made to slide freely. There is a hole in the hood above the
drivers side headlight. That and the holes around the doors are the
only holes in the body, though. All of the interior trim is there.
The only things missing on the exterior trim is the "O" on the
front CHEVROLET, and the little trim pieces by the rear side
windows are missing. Actually only one is missing, the other one we
still have it's just not on the car. You can actually see which
piece I mean if you look at the picture that I took of the back of
the car (interior), it is on the floor on the right side. Just a
narrow (about 3/4" x 4' or so) piece of trim. Besides that all of
the trim is there. I didn't want to take all of the floor lining
out to get pictures of the fiberglass job but I did peel it up on
the drivers side front to get a shot of that. It looks like that in
all the interior flooring where you'd put your feet in the front
and back seat. Runs, drives and stops. I would feel comfortable
driving it into town grabbing groceries. Don't know if I'd feel
comfortable driving 300 miles in it though. It's a tired girl, but
it's all there for a resto.
Please, no offers or trades, I will not respond to either.
There were 1,015 of these made in 1965. Total production numbers
for all the 1960s Chevelle 2-door wagons are staggeringly low. If
you've read this far, you probably know this already. Cash takes
it, please no haggling.
Email me with questions. I am listing this for my father, it is at
his house, so I can't go snap pictures, but I will work with a
serious buyer to get more info etc, before you come out and look at
it. Car is on Vashon Island. I work with freight carriers all the
time through work so transport anywhere in the US can be arranged
if you pay freight of course. Bank transfer would be acceptable in
this case.
