Dodge finally broke from its Special and Special DeLuxe names in
1949, introducing its first post-war design. The entry-level model
was the Wayfarer, which was lower and wider that the previous
model. The car was powered by a 103-hp, 230-cid flathead
six-cylinder. We have this 1949 Dodge Wayfarer or Business Coupe 2
door, 2 seater with the 230 cubic inch Inline 6 cylinder with the
old school 3 speed on the tree/column transmission. Almost original
with exception of a brand new set of Radial tires and paint. The
current owner purchased this car in 1977 and had it re-painted and
fully undercoated at that time. This car runs smooth and drives
down the road very nice. It has not been converted to 12v system.
Parking brake works great. Call or Email with any questions.
