Brookwood was born, original equipment included power steering,
power brakes, tinted windows, standard AM/FM radio and added Sears
and Roebuck wide whitewall tires. This car has numerous NOS parts
inside and out as well as deluxe hub caps, cigarette ash trays,
dome light, ignition switch, taillamps, under dash lights, under
hood lights. It was an incredible challenge getting these parts for
a single year car. The original 348ci engine was rebuilt by
Gabriel's Racing engines in Athens GA and now features an Edelbrock
intake with the 1400 performance carburetor. The oil bath filter
was modified to dry type and is concealed in the original housing.
The 150-amp alternator is a Cadillac NorthStar and the oil filter
has been modified to spin on type. For a better fit Grady re-bent
the stock aluminized exhaust system and eliminated the crossover
pipe. The exhaust manifold was high-temp powered coated in cast
iron grey color. To add more safety features to the car, Grady
installed new 500 series CPP steering box, KYB gas shocks, front
and rear, anti-sway bars front and rear, a new TH700R transmission,
Air Lift air bags in the rear and new coil springs front and rear.
The frame up restoration included all new bushings, mounts, upper
and lower A-arms and ball joints, idler arm and tie rod ends. In
factory colors, the Rio Red and Artic white paint pared with the
California one piece bumpers finish off the front and rear end and
body of this amazing wagon. The rear suspension was completely
rebuilt with all new bushings plus new bearings and seals in the
differential. A new stainless fuel tank sending unit, fuel lines
and brake lines were also installed. All glass has been changed
out, including the nearly unobtainable tinted rear hatch window,
plus all new rubber gaskets, weather stripping, bumpers and seals
were replaced throughout the car. Professionally installed power
disc brakes and stock rears were included during a Vintage Air
install and rebuilt original Harrison radiator. Once this
nine-month restoration was complete the interior was recreated with
material matching as close to the original as possible, cruise
control was added, Secret Audio by Custom Sound installed, Power
Windows with hidden switches, original door handles, LED
taillights, three point seat belts, restored bumper jacks sound
deadener throughout the entire body. This wonder wagon is simply an
International award-winning vehicle which would be at the cream of
the crop of any collection. Options include: AM/FM/CD radio, Power
Windows, AC, Hub Caps, Performance Tires, Power Brakes, Radial
Tires, White Wall Tires, Vinyl and Cloth interior, Seat Belts,
Cruise Control, and Battery Cut off Switch. To view the vehicle in
