Stk. 2224 1986 Mercedes Benz 560 SL
In the '80's, Mercedes roadsters imported into the United States
came in many configurations. That said Mercedes got everything
right with the 560SL. Built on the R-107 chassis, it offered
bulletproof reliability, satisfying power and aggressive good
looks. These roadsters combined all of Mercedes' best features into
a cultural icon. This 1986 560SL retains the factory Black finish
which is in fairly good condition, but does have some weathering.
The roadster is equipped with two tops - a new manually operated
soft top and an optional 1-piece removable hardtop. A mostly
original burgundy interior is also in overall good condition. Front
seats were recently reupholstered, but it does show some minor
signs of age. This is a comfortable cockpit with burlwood accents,
driver-side airbag, A/C, AM/FM, power windows, power locks/mirrors,
anti-theft and cruise. Horsepower comes from the M-117 5.6-liter
SOHC V-8 engine with Bosch KE-Jetronic fuel injection that delivers
227bhp and 275 lb/ft of torque to a four-speed automatic gearbox.
Standard differential gearing is a highway friendly 2.47:1 ratio.
The 560SL has power steering, fully independent suspension and
4-wheel ABS power disc brakes with vented front rotors. This is a
nice '80's roadster that will find a new home shortly.ALL VEHICLES
