The 1978 Corvettes came in with a bang, being the most extensively redesigned model in a decade. The fastback rear styling was not a hatchback, but allowed for more luggage space behind the seats. The luggage area was significantly larger and included a retractable cover that added security and sun protection. This model year also added a glove box, new armrests; new inner door panels, a redesigned speedometer and tach, and wiper and washer controls were moved back to the instrument panel. This particular Corvette has the L82 engine, a 350 with 220hp, an upgrade to the 350/185hp that was standard. Most of this car is totally original with the exception of a re-paint. It has 29K actual miles, and is being sold by the original owner after being kept in the garage for many of its lifetime. It drives and handles exceptionally well, and had lots of options that make it a great driving experience. Silver exterior and red vinyl interior with stock Aluminum wheels.
