Vehicle Description
A vintage Corvette in great shape with low miles... Too much to ask
for, huh? Well, no it isn't. This magnificent 1980 Chevrolet
Corvette runs like a champ, handles like a dream, and has only 47K
actual miles on the odometer. The mileage is documented and so is
all the work that has ever been done to the car. This local
two-owner Georgia 'Vette has never ventured out of the South, and
has been babied it's entire life. Cars like this don't come up for
sale too often.
A walk around the exterior of this proud machine offers undeniable
testimony as to why the Corvette has been the premier American-made
sportscar for more than 60 years. Low and lean, it is true
automotive masterpiece. You will be immediately captivated by the
sleek, aerodynamic styling that has always been the trademark of
the Vette. Every single contour of this car says "classy and fast."
Can a car be considered suave and sophisticated? We think so! At
first glance you can't help but be drawn in by the rich luster of
the finish. The factory original paint is Classic White in color
and it shines like a new penny. There may be a very slight blemish
or touch-up in the paint, but the fiberglass is sound, and the look
is certainly impressive. All of the trim and emblems are in place
and showing exactly as they should. This Corvette comes with both
sets of T-tops, so you'll have options when you head out onto the
highway. And when you do hit the road, you'll be riding on a nice
set of Goodyear Eagles mounted on factory chrome Corvette
wheels.
The level of craftsmanship that went into the production of this
little gem is undeniable. Meticulous attention to detail ensures
that the hood, hatch, doors, even the headlight doors open and
close quietly and securely with a nice tight fit. You won't find an
excessive gap in any seam.. The interior is a nice saddle tan that
goes great with the body color. The seats, door panels, steering
wheel and middle arm rests have all been professionally
reupholstered so they look like new. The dash and all its amenities
are in superb condition, and an aftermarket radio is tucked inside
the glove box for your listening pleasure. As you might expect,
you'll have virtually every power option offered in 1980 at your
fingertips-and everything works.
Under the hood, the engine bay displays all the bright,
neatly-appointed chrome and polished aluminum you'd expect to see
on a Corvette. This car has a brand new Chevy 350 crate motor that
was installed only 3000 miles ago. It's basically stock except for
the addition of a GM aluminum intake, Edelbrock carburetor, headers
and a serpentine belt system. The owner really used his head on
this one, saving the old engine in case a future purchaser might
want to use it for a rebuild to put the car back in 100% original
condition. Of course, the new engine is an upgrade and in great
shape, runs excellent and is ready for many, many miles to travel.
The car's TH 350 transmission was rebuilt at the time of the engine
swap and proves itself an ideal link between the motor and a stock
Corvette rear end. An inspection of the underside shows everything
clean and dry. Just like it should be! If you have never driven
one, nothing handles quite like a Corvette. It literally hugs the
road with the stealthy prowess of a jungle cat. All of the
suspension components on this car are in great shape, so you're in
for a very good ride.
This 1980 Chevrolet Corvette has character. It has provenance. It
has it all. And really, everyone should own a Vette at least once
in their lifetime. It won't last long, call today!
