Vehicle Description
Chevrolet's Corvette debuted in 1953 and has since been a trademark
in the sports car industry. The first generation Corvette ran until
1962, with the later year first generations receiving a facelift
with four front headlights and are considered one of most beautiful
Corvette's ever produced. This white and blue two tone roadster is
no exception. And what makes this Corvette extra special is that
our client and current owner purchased the car in 1976 with just
32k original miles. Furthermore, the paint is all original.
Longstanding ownership and original paint make this car extremely
rare, a true survivor. Before our client purchased the car, the
original motor was replaced with a period 283 V8 and the
transmission was upgraded to a 1966 2-speed powerglide. Other than
that, the car remains 100% original, including a rare removable
white hardtop and original Wonderbar radio. Other noteworthy
features include a black soft top, split chrome bumpers, analog
clock, floor shifter, and blue vinyl interior. The car runs and
drives exceptionally well and would make an excellent parade car,
cruise-in car shower, or even an LS swap pro-tourer. Your
choice.
Our client purchased this car at the age of 21 and held onto it
through marriage and kids. That's a testament to how much he loved
the car and how he cared for it. Find another C1 with original
paint and the same owner for over 40 years. They just aren't out
there. Be sure to see all the photos and walk-around video of the
car running on our main website: Garage Kept Motors.
