One owner, Red 944 S2 with very low mileage (just under 40,000 miles). Driven by little middle-aged “lady from Pasadena” as commuter car for eight years. Stored under car cover in garage in Montana for past 15 years. New air conditioning compressor installed in June of 2017. Previous client who takes excellent care of his race and street cars!
Excellent condition with engine compartment still clean and engine running like new. All mechanical and electrical systems operating in excellent condition.
Car taken to Porsche Driver’s School when new in New Jersey. Derek Bell (Formula One driver and multiple-time Le Mans winner) was instructor. Bell drove this car around course, and afterwards stated that “the 944 S2 was the most balanced car that Porsche ever made”. This was because the transmission (technically a transaxle) was in the rear giving the car optimal balance between front and rear. Bell stated that the S2 was a better car than the 944 Turbo because the power came on much more smoothly in the S2. Significantly more power and faster acceleration in the S2 than in the standard 944.
