"For 1958 the Fleetside bed became available, and the front end was
significantly redesigned.� The light duty trucks had a new name ,
Apache - medium duty trucks went by Vikings, and Spartan was the
name for heavy-duty trucks. These trucks now had four headlights
and a shorter, wider grille which covered the whole width of the
front end. The parking lights were moved behind the grille, which
was similar to the 1955-1956 models. This was the first year
factory air conditioning was found in a Chevy truck."

For sale by owner is this beautiful 3100 Fleetside pickup.
Originally from Nevada, it was body on restored and competed in
2015. This truck was built to replicate the kind of street rod you
may have seen cruising around town in the 60's. The original engine
is long gone and has been replaced by a rebuilt 283 Corvette
engine, with power running through a 3-speed manual transmission.
The truck has been lowered 3" in front and 4" in back, it has a
custom tube axle front end and functional side pipes. The body was
taken down to bare metal and painted Viper Red with Cool Vanilla
Corvette inserts. The underside is original and in excellent rust
free condition. It has 15" Chrome Smoothies with Baby Moon caps,
blue dot tail lights, an Oakwood bed and a class III trailer hitch.
Not a number one show piece, but a consistent local car show winner
that draws a crowd wherever it goes. What follows are the
