Vehicle Description
For sale in our Denver showroom is a numbers matching 1966 Corvette
427 - 425 HP V8 original motor, convertible. This description
really doesn't need much more! Coated in Silver Pearl, paired with
black leather seats, this Corvette is sure to turn heads. Only 215
miles are on it since restoration. For 1966, Chevrolet introduced
an even larger 427 cu in Big Block version. Other options available
on the C2 included the Wonderbar auto-tuning AM radio, AM-FM radio
(mid-1963), air conditioning (late-1963), a telescopic steering
wheel (1965), and headrests (1966). The Sting Ray's independent
rear suspension was successfully adapted for the new-for-1965
Chevrolet Corvair, which solved the quirky handling problems of
that unique rear-engine compact. The classic offers a M-20 4-spd
manual transmission, also numbers matching. The rear-end is a
posi-traction 3.55:1 gear. Options include: AM/FM radio, manual
convertible top, hub caps, power brakes, seat belts, and leather
interior. While each classic car offers its own piece of history,
this Corvette comes with documentation showing each owner
throughout the years! For example, in December of 1965 the car was
assembled and shipped to Martin Chevrolet in Warren, Ohio. In 1966
the car was purchased by a 72-year-old gentleman who resided in
Warren and passed just 2 years later. After that, the Corvette
found a new master in Howland, Ohio who worked as a shop teacher.
The list continues. In 2010 this classic earned a NCRS Top Flight
Award at a Western Regional meet. Then in 2015, it won a NCRS Top
Flight Award at the National Convention in Denver, CO. Needless to
say, this car is very well put together. If you are looking for a
great investment that you can also enjoy on the weekends, this is a
great find. To view the car in greater detail, including an HD
