Vehicle Description
For sale in our Denver showroom is a 1940 Ford Tudor. The year was
1940 and Germany and Italy gained control of most of Western
Europe, Winston Churchill became Prime Minister and inspired
British people with speeches like the famous "We Shall Fight Them
On The Beaches" speech. The World was a different time then. Most
of us can only dream of how it was to live then, however, this Ford
coupe does a fine job getting you close. Pop the door open, sit
down on the mohair bench seat and look at the Waltham gauges and it
will take you back to where a gallon of gasoline was 11 cents and
the average cost of a house was 3,700 dollars! Powering this Ford
is a Flathead V8 engine backed by an easy shifting 3-spd manual
transmission. The exterior is coated in a gloss black paint which
offers red pin striping which pairs well with the painted red steel
wheels. The original steering wheel has minimal cracking and looks
great against the painted dash. The dash has slide-up ash trays for
both the driver and passenger; this was a big deal back then. Other
options include: heat, wipers, dog dish hubcaps, stainless trim,
and original AM radio(not operable), and an upgraded 12 volt
electrical system. This classic Ford runs great as shown in the HD
video. Grab some friends and head to a car show, parade, cruise
night or whatever might be around the corner. To view the car in
greater detail, including 100+ HD pictures, visit
