Vehicle Description
Some of you have been searching a long time for something like this
1981 Jeep CJ5 Renegade. It's a 4x4 from the off-roading kings. But
unlike many you see, this one has not been overly redone or
jacked-up. Instead, it has been restored to back to day-one
condition. And best of all, something this unique is still so
affordable.
This is what a quality restoration looks like. The Autumn Gold
paint with the crisp and correct Renegade graphics is a look we
can't get enough of in our showroom. The whole appearance is like a
desert sunset, especially with the new crisp earthtone top and
door. So this CJ5 feels like it's itching for an adventure even
when parked downtown. And that's really the point of owning a
classic like this. You can take it to the beach or in the
backwoods, but for those times with its just part of the grocery
run, the rest of us in the parking lot are wondering what journey
you'll be off to next. And even as you look over the details, this
one gets everything right. From the newer fender flairs, to the
bright hood latches, to the factory "wagon wheels" with full
size-spare bolted to the rear - it's all part of an iconic
presentation.
The interior is fresh and exceptionally clean. Because a Jeep is
meant to be open to the world, the exterior yellow returns on the
floor, sides, and roll bar, for a bright and seamless appearance.
As expected with a vehicle that has this much utility, the interior
gets down to business quickly. The steering wheel doesn't look like
it has been altered much since the WWII version, and the larger
central speedometer is flanked by all the essential info. You do
get extra luxuries like an AM/FM cassette stereo. Plus, the tan
vinyl seats are brand new. This means they're not only comfortable
out on the trail, but also they're freshly weatherproofed so you
can still clean out a weekend's worth of fun with a garden hose -
just as any good Jeep should be.
Under the hood is Jeep's famous 258 cubic-inch inline-six motor.
You can see from the pictures that there has been a lot of time
invested during the restoration into getting this looking both
fresh and accurate - right down to the factory sticker on the air
topper. So the whole engine bay is really fun to show this one off
to everyone. But beyond appearance, it's a long established
powerplant for Jeep that has proven its reliability and continues
to have easy parts availability. This makes it the perfect
long-term partner no matter if you used this one to traverse high
mountains or cruise High Street. The four-speed manual transmission
feeds the stock two-speed transfer case and seriously beefy axles
at both ends. And as you can see from the undercarriage photos, its
fresh appearance tells you this received plenty of attention during
restoration. The full package comes with power steering, front disc
brakes and a nice set of Goodyear Wrangler tires.
Starting to see the full picture on this one? No matter if you're
pulling 4x4 duty every day or just want to look exceptionally
authentic while driving through town, this restored CJ5 can pull it
off. And it's available right now for quite a nice price. So don't
miss out, call today!
