Featuring a great look that's sure to draw attention, this is a
Mustang that retains the original intent of the model while at the
same time ably carrying a sense of nostalgia forward into the
present day. Inside and out, it's both well-thought out and
well-executed.
This car makes a strong first impression with its Orange Mist
Metallic paint job. Its glossy shine gives it a nice "wet" look,
which is often strived for but much less often properly achieved.
The 17" Cobra Torq Thrust wheels, bearing the signature snake at
the center, complement the exterior nicely. The stance is nice and
clean, with a ride height that allows for wheel clearance without
so much elevation as to adversely affect handling. Wider rear tires
add to the overall impact while affording more grip on the asphalt.
The black expanse of the radiator grill, minus logo, furthers the
theme of this Mustang. While custom, it has a very tasteful look
throughout.
You'll be drawn to this interior, for sure. Very eye-catching and
yet tasteful at the same time. Some serious planning was involved
here. The black and orange color scheme, with the orange matching
the car's exterior, is a great look. It gives the appearance of
being both custom and yet era-appropriate at the same time. The new
black upholstery of the front bucket and rear bench seats, the
black instrument bezel, door panels, carpet, floor mats (which bear
the Mustang logo) and even the A/C fascia stand in effective
contrast to the orange that surrounds them. Climb into the driver's
seat and look straight up and you'll see a nice, clean headliner.
Look straight ahead and you'll see a custom wooden steering wheel
with a logo to match the styling cue of the floor mats. The
seamlessly installed, underdash Classic Air system blows nice and
cold. Road time tunes are supplied by a new, Mustang-themed AM/FM
cassette system, freshly wired to provide plenty of dependable use.
New oil, voltage and temperature gauges will give you an accurate
read on things.
Fire up the engine and you'll be impressed by the smoothness of the
302 V8 at idle. It's topped by a new Holley 4 barrel with electric
choke that sits on a Weiand manifold - a setup that'll give you
enhanced performance without the annoyance of too much lope when
you come to a stop. It's nicely dressed, too, sporting a chrome air
cleaner that's bracketed by chrome "Mustang" valve covers. All of
this sits inside a nice and tidy engine compartment of clean black,
punctuated by a chrome export brace for increased support.
Connected to a 3 speed automatic transmission and power steering,
this is a car built for effortless cruising. We all have to come to
a stop sometimes, and this one will handle the chore in spades.
Featuring front disc brakes as well as a new booster, it will
provide markedly increased stopping power. The electrical system,
including battery, alternator and voltage regulator, has been
recently replaced for worry-free operation. Same goes for the fuel
system, from gas tank to sending unit to fuel lines.
