New Oxford White paint job and new black vinyl top.
Since the original rebuild, the car had been stored in the garage and driven only occasionally with little to no use for over five years. I purchased the car several years ago and gave it a full mechanical check-out because it had sat in a garage for five years. The engine was pulled since some oil leaks were noticed, and the following new parts were installed: new full set of engine gaskets, new front and rear engine seals, new plugs, new carb jets, tune up, oil change, new Shelby clutch and pressure plate (original was Okay but didn’t have sufficient torque rating), new chrome fuel pump, new wheel axle bearing, new 370 rear end gears to replace the original 389 gears, new left rear quarter window regulator, 4 new tires, an extra matching custom wheel & tire for the trunk, and a new jack set. The side louvers were painted black.
The engine and power train is in outstanding condition and is reliable enough to drive the car anywhere. The car handles and corners very well. It is a fun car to drive and has substantially more power and torque than when it was new which is usually desirable in a restomod car. It is NOT a “show car” but is a nice weekend driver that will get complements everywhere you go.
