For Sale: 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air in Everett, Washington

Vehicle Description

FUN, FUN, FUN! I have owned this car since 1988 and built it to drive. It handles as well at 10 mph or 100 mph. This no rust CA built car was built to be fast, beautiful, and safe. The engine is a fully built 1968 truck block (5% more nickel and 4 bolt mains). It has Dart ll heads with a B&M (under hood) blower. The transmission is a Richmond Gear 6 speed with the 6th gear an overdrive; (can cruise at 70mph down the freeway at around 2,000 RPM). The rear end is a Ford 9 inch posi-traction. Disc brakes in front. Power brake "booster". Ron Francis wiring throughout. Tilt steering column with removable Grant manufactured security steering wheel. Boyd Coddington aluminum wheels; (15 inch in front &16 inch in rear). Traction bars and beefed leaf springs; (the car rides tight but smooth). The engine has been moved 1.5 inches forward to allow better room for MSD ignition distributor and aluminum removable top valve cover clearance). Front sway bar and 5 degree tubular upper A frames plus 605 power steering box for better and easier handling. Upgraded gauges. Automatic door locks and alarm system. Battery with disconnect moved to trunk for security and ease of access. Six disc CD changer. Lots of extra chrome including interior trim. Copper and brass Sprint car type crossflow radiator with normal plus extra electric fans. Centerforce clutch. Front bucket seats and newer upholstery throughout. Glass is all good including tinted windshield. Paint is tired, but OK from a few feet back. I decided not to repaint as a new owner would want to choose their own colors and I could keep the price down. I have not detailed the car as you can see from the pictures but thought it best to expose for sale during the summer months. I will continue to detail as time permits. The car is a head turner and crowd pleaser. Most importantly it is safe and an absolute pleasure to drive. My grandmonsters love their weekend outings to Baskin and Robbins. Most amazing to me is how much small children love the car. Lots of smiles on everyone’s faces as we pass. Never been track raced, but never been street beat. Please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions.
