fender flares. More importantly, for 2008, Porsche introduced a
larger-displacement, 4.8 liter, direct-injection engine that housed
Porsche's VarioCam Plus variable timing and lift. This combined
with the twin turbo aspiration, the 2008 Cayenne Turbo boasts 500
horsepower and a face ripping 516 pound-feet of torque. Performance
stats as published by Car and Driver Magazine are as follows: Zero
to 60: 4.8 sec, Zero to 100: 11.5 sec, 0 to 150 33.6 sec. In the
standing � mile, the 2008 Cayenne Turbo achieved 107 mph in 13.3
seconds and the top speed claimed by Porsche is 171 mph.
Congruently, this performance behemoth also held .90g's on the skid
pad and stops from 70mph to 0 in 161 ft., quite an achievement for
an SUV weighing in at a burly 5625lbs. In typical Porsche fashion,
