Vehicle Description
The third generation of the Jaguar XJ was sold from 2003 till 2009.
Offered with a variety of of engines and advanced aluminium
monocoque bodywork, the XJ was an S-class competitor. In 2007,
Jaguar introduced the XJR Portfolio for the UK market with a
supercharged 400hp V8 and a six-speed automatic. It also came with
20in "Callisto" wheels, midnight black exterior paint, mesh grill,
and polished trim. The interior featured aluminum weave veneer
finish on the dash and "R" sport seats, aluminum shifter surround
and extra chrome and leather trim. Just 100 of these special cars
were made and all but a few stayed in the UK. A few went to Canada,
and one of those cars has found its way to us.
This extremely rare 2007 XJR is one of just a handful in North
America and the current owner suggests that it is the only one in
the states. Featuring the same 4.2L supercharged engine and special
trim as the UK models, this example is stunning and understated at
the same time. The 400hp engine is very strong, starts well and
pulls like a freight train. The transmission shifts super smooth
and the car is very comfortable. The exterior paint is in great
shape and the chrome trim is good apart from the mirror caps that
have oxidization marks.
The interior is in great shape and shows very little wear. It has
touch screen navigation, dual zone air-conditioning, automatic
power windows, four heated seats, parking sensors and rear seat
audio controls. The dash is excellent and free of cracks and the
leather shows minimal wear for a ten year old car. The car is a
three owner car and comes with the owners manual as well as two
keys and the original KPH speedometer.
