Vehicle Description
Offered here is a rare find: a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTX Ram Air
Coupe. That's right, a GTX, not the more common GTP. The GTX was
built by SLP and offered a 3.8L Supercharged V6 engine with 260
horsepower and front-wheel drive. Noteworthy features include a
functioning Ram Air Hood, Power Sunroof, Heads Up Display, and
Heated Driver Seat, and Dual Exhaust with Quad Tips. This is a
pretty unique car and definitely worthy of car for any Pontiac
collector or enthusiast. It has a clean CarFax and was originally
purchased in Kansas City. Starts, runs, and drives without any
issues. Call or e-mail if interested. Thank you for looking.
Production numbers are hard to find but here's what we gathered
from a Pontiac Forum: Unlike theCamaro SSand Firebird Firehawk,
the Grand Prix GTX was never a factory option. It is an aftermarket
package that could be financed with a new GP purchase, but was
completed at a regional SLP facility. From 1997-2002, SLP offered a
single $2400 GTX package:
