Vehicle to be offered for Auction sale WITHOUT RESERVE and SOLD to
the highest bidder August 17th - 19th, 2017 at Russo and Steele's
17th Annual Monterey, California Auction. Please contact us for
more information. This 1959 MG was originally sold in Mexico and
was converted to a vintage race car in the late 80s. It was raced
until 1999 with the engine refreshed in 1998. With around 15-18
hours of use the car was stored. In order to return to the racing
grid again it would only need up-dated safety equipment, and new
tires. The modifications made for racing include the 1800 cc motor
bored to 1850cc, five mount points, forged pistons, Carillo rods,
and roller rockers. It has a 304 cam shaft, Linx Cross Flow head, 2
Weber carbs, DCOE 45' Coated headers, and racing exhaust short
pipe, It is fitted with an aluminum radiator and electric fan,
aluminum oil cooler, electronic ignition, HPB1 MG 4 speed close
ratio transmission and, Quaiffe limited slip 3.90:1 differential.
The suspension was modified to include front coilovers, rear leaf
springs and sport shocks, and front swaybar. The brakes have front
drilled discs, MGB calipers, rear MGA drums, and Tilton pedal box
with brake balance. It also has Valve Wheels, 1 set Panasport
wheels 15x6.5j, 2 extra Panasport wheels, 15x6.5j Yokohama racing
tires, narrow wheel (worn), 205/55/15. It has a safety and interior
fuel cell, roll cage, fire extinguisher, back to date leather
racing seat, racing seatbelts (expired), tach, oil temp, oil press,
and water temp, gauges. It has body Welded doors, racing small
windscreen, Lexan racing fiberglass hoop, front Sebring balance,
