contact us for more information. In 1976, a stylish convertible
Stutz D'Italia was presented to an exclusive gathering at the
Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles. It became the design platform
for the 1979 -1988 Ultra Luxury, Bearcat II Convertible of which
only thirteen were ever made. One of the thirteen was destroyed by
fire leaving just twelve. The Bearcat II being auctioned, still
owned by Stutz Motor Car of America, is a company display vehicle
used at various hotels and locations around Beverly Hills,
Hollywood and has been featured in music videos and celebrity
functions for almost three decades. It has only 1400 original
miles, and the winner of the auction will be its very first
registered owner. The Stutz Bearcat II was the first motor vehicle
to be manufactured from a lightweight, dent and corrosion-proof
carbon-fiber composite ("Diamond Fiber Comp"). The car was unveiled
at the 1987 Geneva Auto Show It sold for the equivalent of an
approximate $275,000 (2017) dollars. The interior of the Bearcat II
is outfitted with 24-carat gold plated trim, a polished Bird's Eye
Maple dash, luxurious Connolly Leather seats, instrument markings
in both English and Italian, and fine wool (or mink) carpeting. The
absolute ultimate in automotive luxury. A car designed for kings,
queens, shahs, the entertainment industry elite, and barons of
business.
