The Toyota Century was built for the Japan market to offer the
finest in Japanese quality and luxury. Designed to suit the tastes
of the Imperial family, Japanese dignitaries, and business
executives, the Century is adorned throughout with the mythical
Phoenix, a symbol with great meaning for the Imperial family.
The Century was largely hand-built with great pride and care, while
tailored to the individual. Luxurious wool cloth was the upholstery
of choice. The vehicle is equipped with many amenities, such as
power reclining, heated, and massaging seats. One of the most
unique features, is a fold down leg rest where the VIP passenger
can pass their legs through for added comfort.
This extraordinary museum quality example, with a mere 10,800
kilometers (6,710 miles) from new (includes JEVIC certificate of
verification), still retains many factory protective films and
plastic coverings never removed. It is clear the vehicle has been
