As stated in a Thunderbird advertisement of the period; "Miles seem
too brief when you are sheathed in such individual luxury, cradled
in contoured foam, welcomed by a steering wheel that moves over to
let the driver enter, served by such unobtrusive power. Thunderbird
alone blends elegance and action in such unstinting measure. It has
no equivalent...."
Powering this exquisitely presented Thunderbird is a stout 390
cubic inch V-8 engine, that is very well detailed. Backing the
engine is a column-shift automatic transmission. The cabin of the
vehicle is adorned with new white upholstery that is fitted well
with a wonderful accenting colored piping. The interior also
features the famous swing-away steering column, electric windows,
in-dash radio; and it is wonderfully presented in wood grain dash.
The exterior of the car is presented in white paint and wonderful
brightwork is displayed throughout this vehicle. The owner believes
the exterior paint to be in largely original condition.
In native lore the "thunderbird" is considered "a supernatural bird
of power and strength."
