Vehicle Description
A real-deal 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 dressed in a deep glossy red
is that perfect recipe for American muscle that always attracts
attention. Of course, if they don't see you coming, the burly 351
V8 under the hood will make sure they hear you well before your
arrival.
Does it really get any better than a red Mustang done in Dearborn's
best go-fast livery? The Mach 1 was arguably the most attractive
Mustang of all time, and with upgrades like the shaker, chin
spoiler, hood locks, slotted rear window, and rear wing, it
certainly looks the part of a high-performance pony. Special Mach 1
pieces like the rocker panel moldings are beautifully finished, and
the blacked-out stripe treatment have been expertly applied. Chrome
bumpers look great against the red paint, and all the stainless
trim has been polished to a mirror shine. And of course, there's no
missing those iconic Magnum 500 wheels with the Mustang pony in the
center cap.
The darker shade of red and black accents on the outside already
make this a mean machine, and the deep, black interior seals the
deal. The Comfort-Weave bucket seats look like they've been cared
for correctly so they can live up to their name. All the right
stock pieces appear in place, from the center console, to the
heat/defrost controls, to the full factory gauge package. The
three-spoke sports steering wheel even feels like the original
unit, so you can feel the groves of all those enthusiasts before
you. Plus, this upscale Mach 1 even has its luxury finish with
provisions for air conditioning.
Pop the hood, and you'll be happy to see an iconic 351 cubic-inch
Windsor V8 filling the engine bay. It shows nicely for events with
the bright blue wires, Ford Motorsports valve covers, and of
course, the bold scoop topping the shaker element. But beyond just
looking great for showing off, this Mach 1 has some get-up-n-go. It
fires up nicely thanks to a Mallory Unilite distributor and coil.
The big V8 inhales deeply through a Holley four-barrel carburetor
and Edelbrock intake. It exhales with serious authority through
performance long-tube headers on its way through the dual exhaust.
The power is handled nicely by the stout C6 three-speed automatic
transmission. In addition to the gearbox, this is a true cruiser
with power steering and brand new, modern BF Goodrich T/As at all
four corners.
This one comes with everything you want, including the Marti
Report, build receipts, and maintenance records. Beautifully built
and ferociously fast, this muscular Mustang Mach 1 is ready for a
Saturday night cruise and the Sunday car show. Don't miss out, call
