Commonly referred to as the RS6, it was a sports focused executive car that was the top of the line model produced off the C5 platform. Audi has always been well known for its sure footed Quattro (all-wheel drive) vehicles and has dominated the luxury sedan market for the person that not only wanted a well-appointed vehicle, but one that could handle the nasty weather of the snow and rain that many regions of the country experience. "RS" is taken from German Rennsport translated as not surprisingly "Racing Sport".

It's powered by the "biturbo" 4.2L V8 40v DOHC enginepaired with a 5-speed tiptronic automatic transmission with reported top speeds reaching near 170 mph. The RS6 also served as the debut model for Audi's "Dynamic Ride Control". The DRC system is mainly mechanical, and uses a pump to provide additional pressure to individual dampers (shock absorbers) during cornering, acceleration or braking; to counteract rolling and pitching. Basically, this RS6 has as much technology built in to the drive as humanly possible.
