Vehicle Description
The Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner (Retractable) is a two-door American
full-size car with a retractable hardtop which was produced by Ford
in the United States for the model years 1957, 1958 and 1959. In
1959 the model name changed to Ford Galaxie Skyliner very shortly
after the production of 1959 models had started. The retractable
roof mechanism - also known as "Hide-Away Hardtop" - was unique to
Ford branded products, and was not offered on Continental, Lincoln,
Mercury, or Edsel branded vehicles during this time period.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1959 Ford Galaxie
Skyliner for consideration. This vehicle is exceptionally clean,
both inside and out. Its exterior is finished in an incredible
white and black paint job and looks absolutely phenomenal. The
retractable roof is in excellent working order as you can see from
our video - the engine is an original 292ci V8 that was rebuilt
along with the total frame off restoration. All of the exterior
chrome is in like new condition, the body and paint are impeccable,
the interior is just as clean. The pictures truly do not do this
vehicle justice of showing how mint and clean it really is. The 107
miles on the odometer is the mileage on the vehicle since the
restore was completed. This car is a can't miss and one of the best
examples you can find! Please call or email us today for more
information on this 1959 Ford Galaxie Skyliner.
