Continental. The Lincoln Continental is a series of luxury cars
produced by Lincoln, a division of the American automaker Ford
Motor Company. First introduced in 1939 as a coachbuilt
convertible, which would spawn the personal luxury car segment. The
4th generation Lincoln Continental was based on a stretched version
of a proposed 1961 Thunderbird two-door hardtop that had been
rejected as too classy and not sporty enough for the typical
Thunderbird buyer. But while the four-seat Thunderbird was a
relatively huge success, the Lincoln division was in danger of
being culled. Designers and engineers worked hard at making a new,
distinctive and profitable Lincoln. They succeeded admirably with
the 4th Gen Continental. Made famous by its rear-hinged "suicide"
rear doors this car has found its way into countless movies,
posters, & into many of the populations hearts. This 64 Lincoln is
a true beauty and is in excellent condition. Staring with the
outside of the car you will find a beautiful white gloss paint that
was restored and shows well. The exterior chrome, trim, emblems,
glass, & hub caps are all in superb condition. The doors open &
close easily and line up as they should. The white convertible top
is in excellent condition, goes up & down as it should. Looking at
