For Sale: 1937 Ford Woody Wagon in Lutz, Florida

Vehicle Description

Every inch of this 1937 Ford Woody Wagon has been custom built to be like no other cool classic you've ever seen before. So from the iconic surf wagon lines that hide a full performance drivetrain, to the custom interior that even has A/C, you know this one was built to steal all the attention and take home all the awards.

The reason why you instantly gravitate towards this surf wagon is because of how fresh everything is. With just 2,200 miles on the whole build, the Washington Blue paint looks fantastic. So while you could get a '37 Ford in this color, Henry never could get the level of gloss and shine you see here. The 1937 Ford is an iconic design that always looks sporty thanks to the pointed grille, teardrop lights, and flowing fenders. But we really know why you fell in love/lust with this Ford. That new wood comes from a professionally-built Hercules body, and it has been applied with a craftsman's touch. It has the correct amount of finish to give the right gloss against the blue paint, but you never lose the feeling of natural lumber. This is the kind of car that will always generate a crowd wherever it goes, and so it also makes sure there are plenty of details for people to enjoy. Everything from the door handles hidden in the panels, to the Wheelsmith wire wheels that look like classic setup but allow for some serious modern rubber - it's all part of a package designed to impress no matter if you're 100 yards or 1 inch away.

Inside, the wood elements are joined natural colors to give a first-class flair to this custom build. After all, those roof trusses look more like a premium cabin than what people have in their commuter machine these days. Because this is a new build, the seating has modern cushioning that's quite comfortable. And we love how the two rows coordinate so nicely in design, but yet, still offer the driver a comfy individual style with armrest. And speaking of comfort, you have all the right modern features for long or short trips thanks to the AM/FM/CD stereo and ice-cold R134a air conditioning. You'll love slipping behind the leather & chrome steering wheel and gazing at the exterior-matching blue dash. And as you look beyond the fully-chromed tilt steering column, the full set of classic-style VDO gauges are a clear indicator that this custom has had plenty of work performed in the engine bay, too.

While the side-opening hood is another great piece to attract people, you might want to warn them to put on sunglasses before looking inside. After all, with all the expensive Billet Specialties components under there, we dare you to find another piece that can be polished to a mirror-like shine in the engine bay. And once again, lovers of details will pick up on cool touches like the cross-flag emblems etched into the air topper, oil cap, and valve covers. So yes, someone has taken the time and money to really sweat the details here, too. And once you look beyond the shine, you're going to see some serious substance. That's a powerful 350 cubic-inch crate motor that's rated around 290 horsepower. It connects to a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission that feeds a Currie 9-inch rear end. This kind of powerful package benefits from a strong TCI chassis to keep this custom feeling solid on the road. And speaking of driving, that's exactly what this one was built to do. You have a Mustang II-style independent front suspension, drilled & slotted front disc brakes, and a four-link rear with adjustable Viking coilovers. Are you starting to get the full picture on this build? After all, many can be powerful, but this one is also quite thoughtful. That's why you have elements like the highway-friendly overdrive gearbox and a Walker aluminum radiator that keeps it running cool even if you're in traffic with the A/C pumping.

An all-around great woody custom that's both award-worthy and easy to drive cross-country. Of course our Tampa showroom is going to have the coolest woody surf wagon you've ever seen. The question is only how long will this one-of-a-kind stick around? Call today!!!
