THIS CAR DESERVES A BETTER HOME THAN I CAN GIVE IT OUT HERE ON MY ROUGH DIRT ROAD
From a private seller comes an exceptionally clean Chevy, always garaged and has never been driven in a Northern winter. This is a highly origional car, a survivor car, not restored, that comes with a cloth car cover. The original factory Tuxedo Black exterior paint with red pinstripes is in excellent condition, and it has a showroom quality red interior, 305 V8 engine, 2:41 rear axle, automatic, A/C, cruise, tilt wheel, rare bent-glass rear window, Kenwood AM/FM/CD radio with trunk amplifier, new tires. Original AM radio and wheel covers are in cartons. Recent upgrades are a new Holly 2 BBL carbureator, gas shocks and a fan clutch. This car drives and rides great.
This Black Beauty was purchased new by Galen Nelson on June 2, 1978, from Verschoor Motor Service in Sheldon, IA, the last owner bought the car as a 50th birthday present for his wife in 2006. I had a car just like this one back when, we parted company after nearly a quarter million miles. I bought this car in 2016 thinking to make it a daily-driver, but it deserves better. I'm originally from Iowa and, like Galen, I drive my pickup most of the time, although this car can easily be a daily-driver.
There were only 4,652 of these 1978 models built, few remain.
