The "Mini Corvette", or the car that saved Opel -the Opel GT was an
exciting sports car within a 'lite' package. A small engine, small
curb weight, and small dimensions make the GT an adept handler. The
1.1 liter engine option produced 67 horsepower and the 1.9 liter
produced 100 horsepower. The recipe brought people back into Opel
showrooms and ultimately helped save the brand.
This particular Opel GT wears it's factory correct "Flame Red"
enamel and is powered by the 1.9 liter 4-cylinder mated to a manual
transmission. The black vinyl interior shows excellently and the
overall affect of the car is attractive. Seals, carpets, hinges,
knobs, and switches don't show much wear, and the doors and hood
shut satisfyingly.
