extensive restoration, this 1969 GT500 Cobra Jet is in remarkable
condition throughout. Originally a home-office reserve
special-order car #2694. It was ordered with a 3.50:1 Traction-Lok
differential, a close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission, power
steering and front power disc brakes. It is, of course, powered by
the famed and fabled 428/335 HP V-8 engine, and is documented with
its Shelby invoice, build sheet and a deluxe Marti Report. The
black interior is beautifully presented with the wood-grain
elements, , a center console and an eight track, AM radio, and the
glovebox door is autographed by Carroll Shelby. Every year, Shelby
Mustangs seemed to improve and mature, get quicker and faster and
discover a whole new way for style; The 428 CJ Shelby Mustang
proved to be one of the quickest ever produced, with 0-60 MPH times
in the high 5-second territory and quarter-mile times in the
high-13s. Of the 1452 Shelby GT 500 produced only 445 had the close
ratio 4-Speed transmission and 69 were candy apple red and only 1
