Vehicle Description

Vehicle to be offered for Auction sale August 17th - 19th, 2017 at Russo and Steele's 17th Annual Monterey, California Auction. Please contact us for more information. This 1964 Jaguar E-Type Roadster is finished in Opalescent Silver Blue over Dark Blue leather interior. It is powered by a 6-cylinder 3.8 Liter engine with 4-speed manual trans. It shows 28,322 miles (Believed Actual). It has a wood rim 3-spoke sport steering wheel, original Motorola AM radio, Smiths Gauges, sliding height adjustable rearview mirror and a Dark Blue boot cover. Widely regarded as being one of the most beautiful cars ever designed, this classic is in great condition inside & out. Coveted by collectors, this Series 1 E-Type is arguably the most desirable with the covered headlamps and 3 wipers setup. Any early Jaguar roadster is a rare sight - worldwide, including both left and right-hand drive examples, a total of only 7,828 3.8 litre Series 1 roadsters were built. Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate attesting to its originality. A gorgeous Series 1 E-Type in fabulous colors, this Jaguar presents very well and is sure to please even the most discerning eye. Expertly finished body and paint. Beautifully fitted leather interior, wool carpeting, and canvas soft top. The bright work is excellent, and the new wide whites and chrome knock off wire wheels are stunning. The glass and lamps are in good shape as well. The engine compartment has been highly detailed, and is extremely clean. This XKE is in great condition throughout, and very correct in terms of finishes and appearance. This Jag roadster is ready for spirited use, show, or a casual Sunday drive. All E-Types featured independent coil spring rear suspension with torsion bar front ends, and four-wheel disc brakes, in-board at the rear, all were power-assisted. Jaguar was one of the first vehicle manufacturers to equip cars with disc brakes as standard from the XK150 in 1958. The Series 1 can be recognized by glass-covered headlights (up to 1967), small mouth opening at the front, signal lights and tail-lights above bumpers and exhaust tips under the number plate in the rear. A Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate attesting to its originality
