Vehicle Description
The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1976 Triumph TR6. This
British racing green TR6 will give you a big grin from ear to ear
when you put the top back and take to the road. These cars have
been a continuing interest for many collectors and enthusiast. This
is a fine example of the mark and what it means to enjoy driving.
This six-cylinder sports car and the best-seller of the TR range
built by Triumph when production ended in July 1976. All TR6 sports
cars featured inline six-cylinder engines. For the US market the
engine was carbureted. The TR6 features a four-speed manual
transmission. TR6 also features a semi-trailing arm independent
rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, 15-inch (380 mm) wheels
and tires, pile carpet on floors and trunk/boot, bucket seats, and
a full complement of instrumentation. Braking was accomplished by
disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. TR6
construction was fundamentally old-fashioned: the body was bolted
onto a frame instead of the two being integrated into a unibody
structure; the TR6 dashboard was wooden and bring the old and new
together. The TR6 can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 8.2 seconds
and has a top speed of 120 mph according to Autocar magazine.
