This 1957 Chevy Nomad is a ground up full frame off rotisserie restoration. The paint is immaculate Dusty Rose color covered with very subtle pin-striping to highlight the body lines. The chassis is a one piece California frame that has been powder-coated. Rear Suspension is a custom made Currie 9 inch with Ford axle with the Posies leaf springs moved inboard for more tire clearance. Front suspension is stock type front suspension with all eurathane bushings, dropped spindles, Coil over shock conversion, 605 fast ratio power steering box, and Wilwood four piston disk brakes. Motor and trans is a TPI specialties polished Tuned Port Injection 350 Chevy, cooled by a Griffin Aluminum Radiator, Custom made long tube HPC ceramic coated headers, performance cam, March Performance serpentine belt system and custom tuned computer, Backed up with a 700 R4 trans with a 2200 stall converter with lock up and nice firm shift kit for crisp up shifts. The interior is all custom made matching Naugahyde with tweed inserts on the stock fold down rear bench seat and on the custom covered 64 Impala bucket seats. Between the Impala bucket seats is a custom console with the controls for the Vintage Air AC system and the Lokar Shifter, and all kept a little cooler with the custom made tinted glass all the way around (not tint film, tinted glass). Under the rear bench seat is the 6 disk CD changer that is controlled by the Classic Auto Sound head unit in the Dash. it even has power windows. In the stock gauge cluster is a set of Dakota Digital gauges to monitor all vitals. Billet specialties wheels with BFG radials. The Bottom side of this car is as nice as the top, even the bottom of the floors were wet sanded cut and buffed prior to assembly. The Stainless Steel fuel tank shines like chrome. This Nomad is a one of a kind car and a head turner no matter where you go. It drives like a Corvette with the suspension Mods and you can haul the whole family.
