Vehicle Description
Stk # 2300 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
The Jeep Wagoneer was the first luxury 4x4 - an SUV decades before
the term was even coined. The Wagoneer enjoyed one of the longest
production runs of any vehicle - 29 years. The 1987-1991 model
years are considered 'best of breed' and have a loyal following.
This 1988 Grand Wagoneer has been in the same family since new. It
is a well-maintained vehicle that has received a partial
restoration. Buff Yellow paint and faux wood side paneling are
original except for a rocker panel that was repainted after a minor
scrape. Factory six-lug 15" alloy wheels, period correct
white-walls, fog lights and a nice roof rack compliment the
exterior. Inside, seating was reupholstered with a high-grade vinyl
in 2010 and has been well cared for. Convenience items include: A/C
(converted to R134), full instrumentation, power tinted windows,
AM/FM/Cassette stereo, power seats, tilt-wheel and power locks.
Under the hood, the Grand Wagoneer is powered by a Jasper
Engineering 360ci motor that was professionally installed in 2014.
Other updates include a new battery, starter, water pump, radiator
and carb rebuild. The powerplant is backed by the factory Chrysler
A727 TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic and fully operational
Select-Trac NP229 AWD transfer case with 2.73:1 final gearing. The
chassis features power steering, power disc/drum brakes (new rear
drums/cylinders), 2" hitch/receiver, leaf spring suspension, new
Monroe gas shocks and a new exhaust system. This is a classic
example of a widely sought-after Jeep. It belongs in your garage.
ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
