Vehicle to be offered for Auction sale WITHOUT RESERVE and SOLD to
the highest bidder August 17th - 19th, 2017 at Russo and Steele's
17th Annual Monterey, California Auction. Please contact us for
more information. Presented for auction is a 1967 Lancia Fulvia HF
- First Series, No. 275 of approx 400. As the owner for the past 30
years, you will find the HF a most pleasant ride. Track - very
competitive in 1300cc class, its easy to drive, understeers near
the limit, poised, dependable. Vintage Rallies - competent to a
fault, it wont tire you out - great machine. Highway - firm,
steering light, great visibility. These were the lightweights,
under 2000 pounds, with alloy hood, doors, trunk, plastic windows,
aircraft seats, and threadbare carpets and special motors. These
machines led to the Stratos. No rust, 98,000 km Body stripped in
1989, full Sikkens respray, and new mouldings, plastic windows,
seats redone in original pattern. Original headliner, carpet, door
panels, dash, gauges, tranny refreshed, new clutch assy, new
subframe bushes, new upper and lower ball-joints, steering rod, tie
rods, lower wishbone rebuilt with adjustable heim-joint. Motor
totally rebuilt in 92, original produced 101-hp, our target 120.
Motor mods include: New, flow-benched head (24 % flow increase)!!
New 35mm Dellortos, New intake, exhaust valves, New springs, New
race cams, reground to improve streetability, New .040 Venolia
pistons, New con-rods, Head C-Cd, all balanced, all good. Exhaust
improved from ceramic header-collector to Supertrapp. Konis all
around. The HF likes about a half-gallon leaded race fuel with a
fill, but works on Premium, the CR is 9.75. Subframe repainted in
92 with the motorwork. Needless to say, radiator and oil-cooler
fully serviced, new oil cooler hoses, and all coolant hoses
replaced. Electronic ignition installed inside original, recurved
distributor. Battery relocated to the trunk, roll-cage, shaved
Goodyears, 5-point driver harness, 4-point passenger harness -
we're good to go!!! Note: This example is an appreciating, useable
machine that has delivered my brother and I much Vintage Rallying
success, and my hope is for someone who can continue the adventures
to come.
