A collector's dream!
Mercedes-Benz’s redesigned 300 models of the early 1960s, known
internally within the company as the W112, featured fresh, new
slab-sided styling, as well as an all-aluminium, overhead-cam
six-cylinder engine, advanced and comfortable pneumatic suspension,
and automatic transmission as standard equipment; a manual gearbox
could still be had optionally, but it was seldom-ordered. Selling
at nearly twice the price of the lower-level 200 series, this was
the most expensive “standard” Mercedes of the early 1960s, outside
of the custom-built 600 models, and it was a regular sight at the
world’s most exclusive locales.
The 1966 Mercedes-Benz 300SE Opera Coupe featured here is finished
in gorgeous Light Beige with an impeccably kept original black
leather interior. This magnificent motorcar is an original
California car that still retains its original black plates.
Accompanying this investment-grade 300SE Coupe is its original
owner’s manual, logbook, tool roll, data card and more. Over
$10,000 was spent during a recent complete servicing, ensuring that
this car drives and performs like new. To come cross an example
such as this and in stunning original condition is truly a great
find. We are proud to offer this wonderful 300SE Opera Coupe to the
most sophisticated collector, investor or enthusiast who
appreciates and understands the potential of this great marque.
